Here We Go Again

So I have started another habit since I last posted....making cloth dolls. I am currently working on a kneeling pilgrim lady for which I needed to figure out something for hair. Well, knowing that long wool locks would work well, I call the only friend I have that wouldn't think it was odd for asking her if she had any. Of course, she did and she was kind enough to let me have some. I wash them and dyed them with acid dyes.

Knowing that I wouldn't need much for my current doll, I used ecru, gold, chestnut and russet dyes to achieve the colors I was looking for. All of the locks started with ecru. From there, I added the colors to my taste and needs....Much to my amazement, it work. I got what I wanted!

I will post pictures of the doll when I am done, which should be very soon! :0)

Now onto another hair brain idea I am contemplating...spinning paper into yarn. Not going to put anything more out here right now...I will just let you mind wonder on that.
